Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Antidote Within (“we,” “us,” “our”) publishes essays on depth psychology, emotional intelligence and self-understanding at antidotewithin.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

When you simply read the site. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request and the time of your visit. This is used to keep the site running, secure and fast. We do not use it to identify you personally.

When you email us. If you write to editor@antidotewithin.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply to you.

When you join the newsletter (when live). If you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We use it to send you the letters you signed up for. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

When you buy a product (when live). Our journals and workbooks are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your payment and billing details directly. We never see or store your full card details. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can deliver your purchase and help with any issues.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. The site may set small technical cookies needed for it to load and work properly, including performance caching. We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell your data to anyone. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy first.

Who we share information with

We only share information with services that help us run the site, and only as much as they need:

  • Hostinger: web hosting, security and content delivery
  • Brevo: newsletter delivery (when live)
  • Lemon Squeezy: payments, checkout and product delivery (when live)
  • Google Search Console: helps us see how the site appears in Google search; it does not track individual visitors on our site

We will also share information if the law requires it. We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.

How long we keep it

Emails are kept as long as needed to help you. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Server logs are kept for a limited time by our host.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • See what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct it
  • Delete it
  • Stop sending you emails (or just use the unsubscribe link)

Depending on where you live, including the EU, the UK and some US states such as California, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. Email editor@antidotewithin.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Antidote Within is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Links to other sites

Our essays sometimes link to other websites, such as research sources or support services. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their own policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
